The General Store Restaurant and Bar specialises in catering for functions and events, and is well situated to be an easy 30 minute commute from Auckland.

Our people pride themselves on providing friendly, efficient service in a relaxed setting, where we can cater for your group of up to 75 people in the restaurant or 100 throughout the entire premises.

Due to the success of the sell-out shows in the run up to Christmas, the Fawltys are back by popular demand.

Our Fawlty Towers Dinner show is performed in true Fawlty Towers and Monty Python fashion and is as good as it gets, so much so that we can confidently state without a doubt that this is the most outrageous, hilarious Fawlty Towers Dinner Theatre show ever to be performed in NZ, or, for that matter, the world! The show is performed to a storyline with a beginning, middle and very satisfying suspenseful ending with the evening normally starting with meet & greets.

Your hosts for the evening, the “manic, misanthrope” Basil Fawlty and his “languid little nest of vipers” Sybil (his wife), along with their “lovable, confused and tormented” Spanish waiter Manuel, will go above and beyond the call of duty to guarantee their guests will be treated to a whirlwind evening of classic Fawlty Towers comedy, with played out scenarios full of entertaining confusion and chaotic hilarity with audience participation. For those naughty boys and girls amongst their guests? Well, of course! They’ll be sent to the sin bin where they will be required to perform specially thought out forfeits.
